ROCHESTER - Martin Matejcek scored four goals to lead the MCC ice hockey team to a 7-0 victory over Hudson valley Community College at the Bill Grey's Regional Iceplex Saturday evening.
The Tribunes moved to 10-0 in Region III action and 18-1-1 overall. Monroe is 12-0-1 in its last 13 games.
After a scoreless first period, Matejcek registered a natural hat trick in the second period to stake the Tribs to a 3-0 lead. Dominik Gabaj then scored, and Matejcek added his fourth, as Monroe led 5-0 heading to the third.
Tyler Underhill and Gabaj picked up goals in the final period to wrap up the scoring.
Jesse Little made 22 saves to record his second shutout of the season.
Underhill, Gabaj, Pavel Kuzmin, and Jake Ryan had two apiece. Matejcek, Nick Papas, Zach Coughlin, and Andrew Sanders also added helpers.
