#2 Ranked Tribs Victorious on Sophomore Night

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – On a sunny afternoon in Rochester, NY the Tribunes hosted the Cougars of GCC. Tonight was sophomore night for eight of the Tribunes. Skye Gaudio, Kate Oxley, Kalani Thomas, Angelica Salazar, Kylie Sheehan, Angelina Soeffing, Lucy O'Neill, and Luciana Dodge were all recognized for their hard work and dedication to the Tribunes Women's Lacrosse program. The Tribunes capped off the evening with a 17-4 win. 

Kalani Thomas scored the game's first goal just 30 seconds into the game. After the Tribunes took an early lead, they never gave it up. Chloe Barrett tied the game up a minute later. Lena LaShomb and Kalani Thomas scored two more for the Tribs. Megan Rinker was able to score one for the Cougars. Angelina Soeffing and Kate Oxley both scored to make the lead 3 goals with a score of 5-2 at the end of the first quarter. The Tribunes scored 5 goals in the second quarter. Lena LaShomb scored three goals, Kate Oxley scored one and Kalani Thomas scored one in this quarter. 

After the halftime break, the Tribunes lead 10-2. They scored 4 goals in the third quarter. Skye Gaudio had two, Lena LaShomb had one, and Angelina Soeffing had one for the Tribunes. Chloe Barrett scored another one for the Cougars. At the end of the third, the Tribunes led 14-3. In the fourth quarter, the Tribunes scored three while the Cougars scored one. Katie Bootes, Kalani Thomas, and Kate Oxley all scored for the Tribs in the fourth quarter. Saskia Koops scored a goal for the Cougars in the fourth. 

With the Tribunes winners in this one, this will move their record to 6-2. On April 28, the Tribunes will take on the OCC Lazers.
