Tribunes top Erie for ninth straight win

MCC stays unbeaten in regional play.

BUFFALO - Matt Corey registered a hat trick as the MCC ice hockey team defeated Erie CC 12-2 in a Monday matinee.

Corey scored three straight goals spanning the second and third periods for the Tribunes, who improved to 9-0 in Region III play and 15-1 overall.

Dominik Gabaj and Martin Matejcek chipped in with two goals and two assists apiece, and John Papas also added a pair of goals for Monroe, which scored in double digits for the seventh time this year.

Cameron Randles had a goal and two assists, and Tom Hanna and Justin Lazalde also scored. Rob Marlinski dished out three assists.

Tyler Underhill, Reilly Moore, Jake Ryan, and Andrew Sanders chipped in with two assists apiece.
