Women's Soccer: The Lady Tribunes Fall to the Knights 3-1

Rochester, NY. - Monroe's women's soccer team fell to the CCBC Essex Knights Saturday afternoon in a hard fought game. This 3-1 loss leaves the Tribunes 5-3-2 on the season.

Game Highlights:

• Gaia Lacuzzi scored the only goal for the Tribunes and was assisted by Kimberly McPhearson.
• Maddie Carr (Spencerport, NY) played a strong defensive game for Monroe.
• Kara Dietrich, Natalie Marx and Emily Vetri all scored for Knights.

Men's Soccer: Men's Soccer Downed by CCBC Essex 3-1

Rochester, NY. – MCC's men's soccer team lost Saturday afternoon to the CCBC Essex Knights. The final score was 3-1 which now moves the Tribunes to 4-4 on the season.

Game Highlights:

• The only goal for the Tribunes was scored by Saad Mohacht
• Goalkeeper, Nic Fisher had an excellent game in goal. He had 17 saves on the day.
• Yaak Awuok (Rochester, NY) played a strong game for the Tribunes at midfield.
• Sam Adunah, Seth Onolaja and Acolmi Rios each scored for the Knights.

Volleyball: Volleyball Takes Home 2 Wins and 1 Loss

Canandaigua, NY. – Monroe's volleyball team traveled to Finger Lakes CC Saturday morning to face off in their POD. The morning started with match between Monroe and Erie CC which resulted in a 3-0 win for the Tribunes. Following the win, they next played Jamestown CC and took a 3-0 loss. The Tribunes then played Niagara County CC in which they came back with a 3-0 win. This weekend advanced the Tribunes to 15-2 on the season.

Game Highlights:

• Maryssa Greer (Henrietta, NY) had a total of 37 digs between the three games.
• Hannah DeLorenzo (Hilton, NY) had 24 total kills for all three games.
• Catherine Brumsted (Byron, NY) totaled 36 assists between all three games.

Volleyball plays again on Tuesday, October 1^st at 6 pm when they travel to Jamestown Community College.
