Sow signs with Oklahoma State
The All-American led Monroe to a pair of regional championships.
ROCHESTER - MCC sophomore Coumba Sow has signed a National letter of Intent to attend Oklahoma State University.
The 6-foot midfielder from Zurich, Switzerland starred on the pitch for two seasons at Monroe. The 2015 Region III Player of the Year and a first team NJCAA and NSCAA All-American, Sow guided the Tribunes to a 27-6-1 record and two regional championships in her two years.
Sow recorded 20 goals and 21 assists during her 2014 freshman season. She was Most Valuable Player of the Region III tournament and earned All-American honors from the NSCAA.
She then tallied eight goals and nine assists during the 2015 season and led the Tribunes to their 17th straight Region III title.
Sow joins an Oklahoma State team that went 9-9-2 a year ago and reached the Big 12 tournament.
