Rochester, NY.- MCC women's basketball team came out on the losing end of a five-point game on Thursday, falling at home to the Jefferson Cannoneers, 64-59. Monroe was able to secure the first quarter 20-16 but continued to fall short in the last three. With the loss, the Tribunes now stand at 8-9 on the season.
Game Highlights:
Shanique Simms led Monroe with 18 points.
Lundyn Benjamin was able to snag 14 rebounds on the nights, eight defensive and six offensive.
Monroe will be back in action on Saturday, January 21st when they welcome the Niagara County Thunderwolves for a 1 pm tip.
