Tribs Fall Late to Kishwaukee College

MYTLE BEACH, SC - Monroe lost the lead late in a 7-3 defeat to Kishwaukee college on Sunday.  Kishwaukee college fired up the offense in the first inning.  An error scored one run for Kishwaukee college.

In the top of the third inning, Monroe CC Softball tied things up at two when Carly Sobaszek singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Kishwaukee college scored four runs in the sixth inning.  Katie Taylor and Kya Logston all drove in runs in the frame.

Reese Ward got the start for Kishwaukee college. The hurler surrendered three runs on ten hits over seven innings, striking out seven.

Bishop was in the pitcher's circle for the Tribs. The southpaw surrendered seven runs on eight hits over six innings, striking out four and walking one.

Monroe tallied ten hits on the day.  Sobaszek and Andrea Olsen each had two hits to lead MCC.

Kishwaukee college tallied eight hits in the game.  Taylor and Jalyna Polichnowski all collected multiple hits for Kishwaukee college.
