Cocoa Beach, FL.- Monroe Community College softball team wrapped up their week of games at Chain of Lakes Park in Cocoa Beach, FL yesterday afternoon. The Tribunes went head-to-head with Minnesota State for the second time during the trip. MCC's, Kailee DiGiacco wasted no opportunities at the plate, driving in five on three hits to lead the Tribunes past Fergus Falls 15-6. With the victory, Monroe advances to 3-5 on the season.
Game Highlights
Monroe collected 14 hits aon the day.
Payge Granger was the winning pitcher allowing ten hits and six runs over five innings, striking out five and walking zero.
Granger, DiGiacco, Jenn Maysuch, and Andrea Olsen all had multiple hits for the Tribunes.
Monroe steps back on the field, March 26th when they head to Broome CC for a 1:00 pm doubleheader.
