Scranton, PA.- Monroe's 15 hits and seven runs combined between two games wasn't enough as Monroe Community College baseball team fell to Lackawanna College, 10-3 in game one and 6-4 in game two of the NJCAA East District Tournament at Scranton High School on Friday.
Game 1:
Ryan Hill, Trey Brown, Max Schmarder (2) and Ben Beauchamp all had hits for the Tribunes. Schmarder and Hill earning doubles.
Dillon Higgins, Ethan Putney and Hayden Wesseling each took a turn on the mound totaling eight strikeouts, eight walks 11 hits and one homerun between the three.
Game 2:
Beauchamp, Justin Herrera (2), Brown (3), Evan Magill, Schmarder (2) and Hill (2) all had hits for Monroe.
Brown (2), Magill and Hill each earned themselves an RBI.
Tribune baseball finished their 2021 season 27-12.
