Coe, Watson lead Monroe past Niagara

MCC bounces back from a loss last weekend.

ROCHESTER - Dionne Coe (Brooklyn, NY/Murry Bergtraum) led the way with 23 points as the MCC women's basketball team dispatched Niagara County CC 96-51 Thursday evening.

Coe was 9-of-15 from the field, including three 3's, for the Lady Tribunes, who moved to 19-5 on the year.  Donisha Watson (Bronx, NY/Mount Vernon) came up big in the paint, totaling 13 points, 18 rebounds, and five blocks.

MCC forced 44 turnovers, which they converted into 51 points.

Tyese Purvis (Queens, NY/Francis Lewis) hit 7-of-12 from the field and finished with 18 points and four steals. Karin Robinson (queens, NY/Mary Louis Academy) added 12 points, eight assists,and six steals.

Monroe finished with 24 steals on the game.
