SANBORN, NY - The MCC men's lacrosse team earned a Western New York Athletic Conference victory Saturday, defeating host Niagara County CC 17-3.
The Tribunes moved to 5-6 on the season and snapped a four-game losing streak.
Ethan Printy (Irondequoit, NY/Eastridge) scored a season-high four goals to lead Monroe. LeRoy Halftown (Cattaraugus Reservation/Mynderse) also scored four times.
Kori Halftown (Cattaraugus Reservation/Gowanda) added a game-high six points on three goals and three assists. Mitch Smith (Hilton, NY/Hilton) chipped in with a pair of goals.
Nick Beniamino (Mendon, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima) allowed two goals and stopped six shots in 48 minutes in the cage. Alex Howell (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Sutherland) played the other 12 minutes and made four saves.
Mike Larkin (Penfield, NY/Penfield) added a goal and two assists, and Pete Barilla (Irondequoit, NY/Irondequoit) had one goal and one assist for MCC. Tyler Martin (Central Square, NY/Central Square) and Kyle Youngmann (Hilton, NY/Hilton) scored once each.
