MCC golfers seventh after first round
The Tribunes will look to make a move Wednesday.
CHAUTAUQUA, New York - The MCC golf team shot a team score of 324 on Tuesday and is in seventh place after the first round of the NJCAA Division III national golf tournament at Chautauqua Golf Club.
Jackson Mordaunt paced the Tribunes with a 7-over-par 79. Connor Goss was next with an 81, followed by Joshua DeSain and Michael Long with 82s to round out the scoring.
Tyler Hockenberger's 83 was discarded.
Vincennes University leads the team standings after shooting an opening-round 303. Georgia Northwestern Tech is next at 306, followed by Jamestown and Minnesota State at 307.
Ryan Moore of Nassau and Erik Hansen of Southwest Tech lead the individual standings at 1-under.
