Tribune golfers sixth at midway point
A tough day Wednesday has Monroe 19 strokes off the pace.
CHAUTAUQUA, NY - The MCC golf team shot a combined 318 Wednesday and is in sixth place at the midway point of the NJCAA Division III national tournament at Chautauqua Golf Club.
Brett Robertson (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) had Monroe's best score of the second round, fashioning a 4-over-par 76. Tyler Hill (Brockport, NY/BRockport) followed with an 80.
Brandon Grzywacz (Holley, NY/Holley) and Jered Maloney (Honeoye, NY/Honeoye) each carded 81s to finish off MCC's scoring.
Jamestown CC shot a second-round 309 and continues to lead the tournament with a total score of 606, although their advantage is down to one stroke over Vincennes University.
