Williams to play for Mercyhurst
The sophomore guard was a leader on and off for the Tribunes.
ERIE, PA - Former MCC guard Greg Williams has singed on to to continue his academic and basketball careers at Mercyhurst University.
Williams, a 6-2 guard, averaged 9.8 points per game for the Tribunes (32-4) in 2012-13, helping lead the team to regional and district titles and a fifth-place finish at the NJCAA Division II national tournament. He was named All-Region both his seasons at MCC.
Williams connected on 55 3-pointers, good for 36 percent. He also hit 79 percent from the free throw line. He score din double figures 19 times including a season-high 23 points in the district championship victory over CC Rhode Island.
