MCC volleyball earns postseason honors
Players, coach Tara Jehlen honored for a tremendous season.
After amassing a school-record 40 victories in 2012, the MCC volleyball team has earned laurels from both the Western New York Athletic Conference and Region III.
Tribune head coach Tara Jehlen was named the Region III, Division III Coach of the Year. It is the fourth time she has received the award. Sophomores Paige Calabrese (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) and Denae Rinaldo (Canastota, NY/Canastota) were named second team All-Region, while freshman Gabby Morey (Honeoye Falls, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima) made the third team.
Morey was a first-team All-WNYAC selection. Rinaldo made the second team, and Calabrese and Erica Thompson (Liverpool, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) were third team.
