Tribunes win regular season finale on "Dig Pink" night
The MCC volleyball team wrapped up the regular season with a four-set victory over Corning CC in Monroe's "Dig Pink" game to promote breast cancer awareness.
ROCHESTER – The MCC volleyball team wrapped up the regular season with a four-set victory over Corning CC in Monroe's "Dig Pink" game to promote breast cancer awareness.
The Tribunes prevailed 25-22, 25-13, 23-25, 15-9. MCC is 35-5 heading into this weekend's Western New York Athletic Conference tournament at Genesee Community College.
Gabby Morey (Honeoye Falls, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima) had 10 kills, seven digs, three blocks, and three aces for the Tribunes. Erica Thompson (Liverpool, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) added 11 kills and nine blocks.
Denae Rinaldo (Canastota, NY/Canastota) tallied 12 kills and 23 digs, and Paige Calabrese (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) had 28 digs. Clara Engelhart (Ithaca, NY/Ithaca) finished with 42 assists.
