BUFFALO - Alicia Shenal won the 100 backstroke to highlight MCC's third-place finish at the 2018 SUNY Geneseo Invitational on Saturday.
Shenal placed first in a time of 1:0013. The sophomore also added a runner-up finish in the 50 free (25.09), as well as a third-place effort in the 200 back (2:16.76).
MCC totaled 343 points on the afternoon, trailing Geneseo (824) and Buffalo State (447). The Tribunes finished ahead of Roberts Wesleyan (274) and Nazareth (135).
Ashley VanDermeer was fourth in the 1000 free (11:34.17) and fifth in the 200 IM. Jasmine VanScooter added a seventh-place finish in the 200 breast (3:06.04), and Andrea Toussaint was the same in the 100 fly (1:12.84).
