Tribune ladies take Erie Invite

BUFFALO - The MCC women's swimming team took first place at the Erie Community College Invite on Saturday.

The Tribunes totaled 336 points on the afternoon.  Runner-up Jamestown CC was at 147, followed by Herkimer at 122.

Heather Chrisman and Alison Gregor both won two individual events and were part of a pair of winning relays to lead Monroe.

Chrisman took first in the 200 breast (2:42.46) as well as the 100 free (58.83), while Gregor won the 50 free (26.50) and 200 fly (2:40.04).

The duo paired with Ashley VanDermeer and Hallie Marquart to win the 200 medley relay in 2:10.69. The team of Chrisman, Gregor, Marquart, and Megan Mack won the 800 free relay in 9:05.44.

Mack was also a double winner, touching first in the 200 free (2:08.71) and the 500 free (5:40.52). VanDermeer won the 200 back (2:25.21) and the 400 IM (5:16.99).
