Four Tribunes ink letters of intent

ROCHESTER - Four members of the MCC women's soccer team have signed National Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at four-year institutions.

Sophomores Caitie BroderickTenysha TaylorBianey Serrano, and Cheyanne Rentsch have committed to move on next fall. The foursome helped lead Monroe to a 14-3-3 record and a third-place finish at the NJCAA Division I national tournament last fall.

Broderick (Spencerport, NY), a sophomore goalie, will take her talents to University of North Carolina Wilmington. Broderick was a first team All-Region III performer as well as a second team NJCAA All-American. She logged nearly 1,500 minutes in goal during the 2016 season, allowing just 14 shots past her for a 0.86 goals against average.

Taylor (Berlin, Germany) and Serrano (LaBelle, Fla.) will head to Young Harris College in Georgia. Both players were first team All-Region III midfielders for the Tribunes, and both registered five goals and eight assists on the season.

Rentsch (Cape Coral, Fla.) will attend Georgia College in the fall. The All-Region midfielder started all 20 games for Monroe and dished out two assists.
