Tribunes roll past North Country for 70th straight win

ROCHESTER - The MCC women's lacrosse team left no doubt in a 36-0 victory over visiting North Country Community College on Saturday.

Janee DeLuca had seven goals and three assists and Brianna Hendrix and Adriana Williams added four goals apiece for the Tribunes, who improved to 2-0 on the season and ran their overall winning streak to 70 games. The 36 goals set a new single-game mark.

Monroe was in control throughout the contest. MCC outshot the Saints 50-2, held a 31-7 in draw controls, and picked up 29 ground balls compared to nine for North Country.

Kendall Jones, Dana Isaacs, and Taylor Excell all added three goals apiece for the Tribunes, who led 24-0 at the half. Isaacs also grabbed 10 draws, while Excell had six.

Christie Hahn chipped in with two goals and five assists, while Kara Spano and Kendall Skuse added two goals and two helpers apiece. Mackenzie Donahue also scored twice.

Se'Anna Beikirch had a goal and three assists, Morgan Hollenbeck and Charity Warner had a goal and two assists each, and Jordyn Dala also scored once. 

Sarah Annable and Paige Noel each stopped a shot to combine for the shutout in goal.
