SANBORN, NY - The MCC women's lacrosse team continued its outstanding play, defeating host Niagara County CC 19-1 Sunday.
The win came on the heels of a victory over No. 2 Onondaga CC on Saturday. The top-ranked Tribunes are a perfect 10-0 on the season.
Courtney Reuter (Newark, NY/Newark) led the way with four goals for Monroe. Alexanrda Sportini (Monroe, CT/Masuk) added three goals and two assists and Brianna Everson (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) scored three times as well.
Hannah Barnett (Gorham, NY/Marcus Whitman), Gina Akel (Ogden, NY/Churchville-Chili), and Ashley Brandt-Hunter (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) chipped in with a goal and two assists apiece. Courtney O'Hara (Greece, NY/Greece Arcadia) added one goal and one assist, and Dana Fichera (Rochester, NY/Gates Chili) also scored.
Caitlin Cavallaro (Corning, NY/Corning East) made seven saves in goal.
