ROCHESTER - The MCC women's lacrosse team earned a resounding victory Sunday, defeating visiting CCBC-Catonsville 18-0 in a non-league contest.
The Tribunes improved to 4-0 with the win.
Keirsten MacLellan (Baltimore, MD/Seton Keough) had another big game, finishing with three goals and three assists. Elizabeth Lacomb (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) and Ashley Brandt-Hunter (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) had three goals apiece, and Courtney Reuter (Newark, NY/Newark) scored twice.
Caitlin Cavallaro (Corning, NY/Corning East) and Alexandra Sportini (Monroe, CT/Masuk) had hands in the shutout, playing 30 minutes apiece and combining to stop six shots.
Alexis Wilensky (Syracuse, NY/Corcoran) had a goal and three assists and Melanie Murphy (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) had one goal and one helper.
Gina Akel (Ogden, NY/Churchville-Chili), Kara Horn (Rushville, NY/Marcus Whitman), Gabby Farina (Penfield, NY/Penfield), Leia Hayward (Hilton, NY/Hilton), and Tori Williamson (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) all added one goal each.
