MCC captures TJ Memorial Classic
The Tribunes defeat Lake Erie College JV for the title.
KIRTLAND, Ohio – The MCC women's basketball team earned the title at the TJ Memorial Classic at Lakeland CC with an 85-75 win over Lake Erie College JV Saturday.
The Tribunes are now 3-4 on the season.
Rayia McKnight (Baltimore, MD/Western) had 19 points and five assists to pace Monroe. Karin Robinson (Queens, NY/Mary Louis Academy) hit four 3's and scored 16 while also dishing out five assists.
Tyese Purvis (Queens, NY/Francis Lewis) chipped in with 14, and Ayana Ratliff (Brooklyn, NY/Bishop Loughlin) and Dionne Coe (Brooklyn, NY/Murry Bergtraum) had 10 apiece.
