Tribs top Harcum to finish another perfect weekend
MCC climbs above .500 with the win.
NEW ROCHELLE, NY – The MCC women's basketball team defeated Harcum College 85-66 at the 2012 Mustang Winter Tip-Off to cap its second straight perfect weekend.
Monroe moved to 5-4 with the victory.
Tyra Jones (Rochester, NY/East) had a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Tribunes. Tyese Purvis (Queens, NY/Francis Lewis) had a team-high 18 points, and Dionne Coe (Brooklyn, NY/Murry Bergtraum) also chipped in with 17.
MCC hosts the Pete Pavia Memorial Scholarship Tournament this weekend on Monagan Court. The Tribunes take on Pitt-Titusville at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, and Herkimer County CC at 12 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9.
