Bardak named to All-America team
The sophomore outfielder helped lead MCC to a fourth-place finish at nationals.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado - MCC sophomore outfielder Joanna Bardak (Amherst, NY/Amherst) was named a second team All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association.
Bardak helped lead the Tribunes to a record of 26-17 and a fourth-place finish at the NJCAA Division III national tournament.
The leadoff hitter batted .397 on the season and had team-highs in hits (50), runs (49), doubles (20), and extra base hits (27). She tied for the team-lead in home runs with five.
Bardak was also named a 2013 first team All-WNYAC and All-Region III performer.
A two-year starter, she finished her MCC career with a .353 batting average (92-for-253).
