Dale returns for his seventh season with the Tribunes as the Associate Head Coach for the Men’s and Women’s teams. He helped Head Coach Daniel Dubois lead the men and women to non-scholarship team titles five of the past six seasons. He was part of the staff that earned the NJCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Coaching Staff of the Year in 2015 and in 2018 with the Men’s Team.

Pearce joined the Tribune staff after two successful years as the Aquatics Manager/Assistant Coach at Buffalo State College. During his tenure, over 40 school records were broken.

Pearce earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education from Brockport in 2009. During his swimming career at Brockport, Pearce set two school records and was an All-SUNYAC Swimmer. He started his college swimming career at the NJCAA level with Genesee Community College, he was a 14-time CSCAA All-American, Region III record holder (500, 1000 & 1650 Freestyles) and five-time Northeast District meet champion. He was inducted into the Genesee Community College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2015. He was also named MCC’s Emerging Employee of the Year in 2018.

Pearce is the Director of Curriculum Development and Apprenticeships in the Economic Development and Innovative Workforce Services Division. He supports the division by helping faculty in academic programs along with managing apprenticeship programing at the college. He earned his master's degree in Career & Technical Education from Buffalo State in 2012 and completed a second M.S. in Athletic Administration in 2015 from Brockport. He has a strong background in Aquatics with 8 years’ experience as an aquatic technician/trainer for Darien Lake Theme Park and Resort, he is an Instructor for the National Swimming Pool Foundation too. Pearce is currently pursuing an educational doctorate from the American College of Education with a dissertation topic focused on NJCAA Non-Scholarship student-athlete retention and academic success.

In his free time, Dale enjoys spending time wrenching on muscle cars, working on house projects but most important with his wife Meghan and son Nolan.
