Lead grows for men at MCC Invite
The Tribunes have a healthy advantage heading into the final day.
ROCHESTER – The MCC men's swimming and diving team maintained its hold on first place after day two of the MCC Invitational.
Monroe leads Buffalo State 426-245. The Tribune ladies are in second place behind the Bengals.
Gaitan Gehin (Lausanne, Switzerland/August Piccard) won the 100 breaststroke in 1:01.13 for Monroe. Connor Kilmer (Auburn, NY/Auburn) placed first in the 200 free (1:51.74), and Kyle Shares (Victor, NY/Victor) captured one-meter diving (254.19).
Tore Hansen (Naestved, Denmark/Zealand) took first in the 100 backstroke (58.08).
On the women's side, Katie Hamilton (Rochester, NY/Eastridge) placed first in the 400 IM (4:59.72), and Alaiya Tuntemeke (South Lima, NY/Livonia) won one-meter diving (202.20).
