Cupello honored by NSCAA
The coach led MCC to one of its best seasons ever.
ROCHESTER - MCC men's soccer coach Nelson Cupello was named the 2012 East Region Coach of the Year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Cupello guided the Tribunes to one of their best seasons ever. The team finished 18-1-1 and placed third at the NJCAA Division I national tournament. He was also named the NJCAA Region III Coach of the Year.
Cupello has an overall record of 303-101-27 in 23 years as head coach at Monroe. He earned his 300th career victory in a 2-0 win over Bryant & Stratton in the regional title game Oct. 27.
