Men's lax places four on All-Region team

ROCHESTER - Four members of the MCC men's lacrosse team were named to the 2018 All-Region III second team.

Attack Nick Kallio, midfielder Brandon Barnhart, defenseman Adam Witscheber, and goalie Mark Campbell were all honored after helping lead the Tribunes to a 9-3 record and a trip to the regional title game. 

Kallio led the squad in goals (45), assists (31), and points (76). The sophomore set new team records for assists in a game (10) and points in a game (17), and tied the single-game mark for goals (9).

Barnhart finished with 25 goals and 25 assists for the Tribunes. He had a career-high nine points in a win over Herkimer.

Witscheber helped anchor a defense that was among the best in the NJCAA. He led the team with 51 ground balls while causing 17 turnovers.

Campbell was a stalwart in the cage. The sophomore was fifth in the nation in both save percentage (63.0) and goals against average (7.08) while playing every minute.
