ROCHESTER - The MCC men's lacrosse had four members earn an All-Region III selection for this season. Freshman midfielder Austin Jobson was named to the All-Region first team, the team's only first team selection.
Jobson had a hot stick all year for the Tribunes. He was able to toss in 33 goals and 17 assists which was good for a total of 50 points scored. Jobson recorded 94 shots on the season while 60 shots were on goal. Jobson's offensive firepower played a huge role in the success for the Tribunes this season.
Also adding to the success of the attack was second-team selection Hudson Weil. Weil recorded 44 goals and 18 assists this season giving him 62 points scored. He led the team in shots with 109 and 72 of them were on goal. The play of Jobson and Weil helped the Tribunes score a total of 174 goals on the season, which placed the ninth in the country.
Sophomore defenseman Ryan Boadway highlighted the team on defense this year by earning second team honors. Boadway had 74 ground balls and a team high 15 caused turnovers. His play on the defensive side of the ball helped lead the Tribunes to a national ranking of third in the ground ball stat category.
Freshman goalie Mark Campbell was a goal stopper this season and was also named to the second team. He finished the season with 213 saves compared to 135 goals allowed. This was good for a 61.2 save percentage which placed him second in the nation. Campbell spent a total of 825 minutes in goal giving him a record of 9-5 on the season.
The Tribunes season ended with a 16-11 loss to Genesee Community College in the Region III championship game. MCC finished the year with a record of 9-5.
