ROCHESTER - Entering the 2017 season, the men's lacrosse team looks to build off of its 11 win, 4 loss record and Region III semifinal defeat to eventual national champion Genesee Community College.

After receiving votes in the NJCAA preseason national poll, the Tribunes will start their 2017 season at home on March 5 against the University of Buffalo Club. Monroe will play against three teams that are ranked in the Top 10, which include Anne Arundel, Onondaga, and the defending champion Cougars. The Tribunes will travel to Genesee on March 15.

MCC will play host to Tompkins Cortland, SUNY Broome, Herkimer, and Onondaga for their remaining home schedule.

Monroe brings back nine sophomores, led by David Lehman and Jake Moss. Lehman was responsible for 24 goals, which led all freshmen last year. Moss, who was the next best freshman in terms of goals, had 21 on the season.

Also returning is sophomore faceoff specialist Richard Scacchetti, who won 101 face-offs for the Tribunes last year. He also brought in 43 ground balls which was good for second on the team.
