Monroe attack too much for Rochester Sr. AAA

ROCHESTER - The MCC attack was firing on all cylinders Friday, as the Tribunes topped Rochester Sr. AAA 11-7 in ice hockey action.
Dan Turgeon (Centennial, CO/Cherokee Trail) led the way with a hat trick for the Tribunes, who improved to 15-7 with the win.
Cameron Randles (Canyon Country, CA/Pete Knight) chipped in with two goals and two assists for MCC. Mark Woinicki (Newburgh, NY/John S. Burke Catholic) and Andrew Sanders (Bakersfield, CA/Liberty) added a goal and two assists each.
Monroe, which finished regional play with a record of 10-0, has four non-league home games remaining before hosting the NJCAA national tournament Feb. 23 and 24. The Tribunes will be gunning for back-to-back national titles.
Corey Kifner (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore West) and Taylor Weilert (Rochester, NY/National Sports Academy) had a goal and an assist each, and John Wise (Rochester, NY/Gates Chili) and Dan Going (Wilton, NY/Saratoga Springs) also scored.
Tom Dehr (Varysburg, NY/Batavia Notre Dame) stopped 27 shots in goal.
