Monroe golfers start season with win
The Tribunes hold off Jamestown.
ONEIDA, NY - The MCC golf team kicked off the season with a two-stroke victory at the 2013 Hawk Invitational, hosted by Mohawk Valley CC at Oneida Community GC.
The Tribunes finished with a team score of 310. Runner-up Jamestown CC was at 312.
Zach Tuttle (Penfield, NY/Penfield) was Monroe's top finisher with a 76.
Brandon Gryzwacz (Holley, NY/Holley), Tyler Hill (Brockport, NY/Brockport), and Jered Maloney (Honeoye, NY/Honeoye) all carded 78s to round out the scoring.
Brett Robertson (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) chipped in with an 80.
