MCC scores another big win
Monroe's assault on scoreboards across the WNYAC continues in rout.
OLEAN, NY - The MCC men's basketball team continued its incredible scoring output in Western New York Atheltic Conference play Thursday, defeating Jamestown-Olean 120-66.
The Tribunes scored at least 120 points for the second consecutive game. Monroe (18-2) is 5-0 in conference play and is averaging 110.8 points per contest.
Tashawn Desir (Brooklyn, NY/Nia Prep) led seven players in double figures with 19 points. The freshman point guard also dished out six assists and added four steals. Greg Williams (Cincinnati, OH/Princeton) added 18 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
Kenny Johnson (Philadelphia, PA/Abington friends) had a solid all-around game with 15 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and four steals. Edward Hector (Atlanta, GA/Creekside) also had 15, and Jahvari Josiah (Brooklyn, NY/Beach Channel), Ta-Quan Zimmerman (Waterbury, CT/Holy Cross), and Dallas Gary (Buffalo, NY/East) all had 12.
Zimmerman also pulled down a team-high 16 rebounds.
