MCC vaults to 14th in national poll
The Tribunes crack the Top 20 for the first time this season.
ROCHESTER - The Monroe Community College baseball team has jumped into the Top 20 of the NJCAA Division II national poll for the first time this season.
MCC (19-9) comes in at No. 14 in this week's poll. It is the first time the team has been in the Top 20 since May 18, 2011.
Winners of 11 of their last 14 games, the Tribunes had received votes in the rankings on two occasions earlier this season. MCC is currently fifth in the nation in batting average (.341), first in triples (21), and fourth in slugging percentage (.486).
