Aaron Bouyea was appointed as Monroe Community College's fifth Director of Athletics in August, 2017.
A native of Lewiston, Maine, Bouyea came to Monroe from Lesley University, a NCAA Division III institution located in Cambridge, Mass. He joined Lesley in 2012 as assistant athletic director and was later named associate director in 2014.
At Lesley, Bouyea served as lead administrator for men's and women's basketball and men's volleyball. In addition, he oversaw all aspects of compliance and recruiting, game and facility scheduling, academic monitoring, as well as game day and fitness center manager, while supervising all work study students.
Prior to Lesley, Bouyea served as assistant athletics director and advancement associate at Wells College in Aurora, NY. He assisted the director of athletics in the day-to-day operations of the department and was responsible for all aspects of sports information for 16 varsity sports. His duties also included the oversight of athletic facilities, game day event management, and NCAA compliance.
Bouyea earned his B.S. in Sport Management in 2007 from Thomas College in Waterville, Maine, where he was also a four-year member of the baseball team. He received his M.S. in Sport Management from the State University of New York at Cortland in 2011.
Bouyea currently resides in Cayuga, NY with his wife, Mehegan, and son Kellan, 3.
